So how is it that there isn't anything a person can do without?  Everything is essential, including but not limited to; a George Foreman Lean Mean Grillin' Machine, a pair of ice tongs, a 25 lb bag of Scott's Turf Builder, two electric pencil sharpeners and the complete DVD set of all seasons of Law & Order Criminal Intent.  When it comes to "stuff" it's hard to imagine spending months on the road without it - so it all becomes absolutely essential!

When we laid out everything we considered essentail for the trip it was comical.   The snikering and rude comments to each other followed.  "You can't possibly think you'll need the entire 24 volume hardback set of the History of Human Civilization while on the road can you," I challenged Stacy.  She quickly retorted that it was complete folly for me to even consider taking, much less needing, the thatching attachment for a John Deere riding lawn mower.  Narrowing down what was absolutely essential - and would fit in a small saddle bag - was impossible.  We had so much stuff we needed a U-Haul.  Hey wait a minute........
