WE'RE NOT COMPLETE IDIOTS - SOME PARTS ARE MISSING!
FRIDAY! - and just in time! Whew! It seems like it's been a week since the last time we had a Friday. We like Fridays because most everyone else likes Fridays - especially those of you you that have jobs, pay taxes and generally support the unemployed - like us! We also like Fridays because we don't have to get up early (like noon or so the rest of the week), and we can sleep a little later in the morning, like until 2pm or 3pm. Usually by then it's just too noisy outside to get any quality rest anyway, or else someone is banging on our trailer door yelling something like, "...we know you're in there," so we drag ourselves out of bed.
Today was no exception. Around 2pm the mailman woke us with a letter from the California Lottery Commission that we've been waiting for at least two months. We wrote those crooks back in August demanding an investigation and an audit of the state PowerBall game. Look, we're not sore losers here, but we bought some "guaranteed" winning numbers from an ad in the National Enquirer and they didn't win! It's pretty obvious to us that the game is rigged. Everything else we've bought from the National Enquirer has been fine; including the Richard Petty Champions of Nascar Collectors Blanket ($49.95), the three pair of Dacron slacks with the patented "no roll" waist band ($19.95 for all three pair!) and the "miracle" 18 hour stretch bra ($9.95 and Stacy loves it!). The company couldn't advertise and sell us "guaranteed" winning lotto numbers if they weren't gonna work. Obviously there is something fishy at the State Loterry Commission and we're out $21 for the numbers and a buck for the ticket! - not to mention our loss of time and pain and suffering. Anyway, the crooks at the commission just thanked us "for our concern," and that was that. Bastards!
After that bad news we were a bit depressed (and hungry since we hadn't eaten breakfast yet), so we headed out for Mexican food at the Taco Shop in Cathedral City. There's nothing like a few taquitos first thing in the morning around 3pm or so to really get the day started. After that we headed over to the sewing store to get some material for Halloween costumes. Why do they sell yardage in 1/8 yard increments? That's 4 1/2 inches, right? It makes no sense to us, but maybe that's why we never could get a good paying and mentally stimulating job like the folks at the sewing store cutting cloth all day. After that we settled into one of our favorite bars for the night and reflected on what a long strange trip it's been. Tomorrow is Saturday folks, so that means ALL OUT PARTY...

We're gonna get to the bottom of this. THOSE BASTARDS! Someday we're buying a replica collector's hat!

Don't worry - the Fire Marshal drinks here for free! Nothing we hate worse than sloppy drunks!
