IT'S A GOOD THING WE LEARNED TO LIKE SPANISH RICE IN GRADE SCHOOL!

SATURDAY!  Okay, broken record time – “we’re still in Barcelona!”  This is day five for us here and that’s a record for any city on the 2008 Riding4Beer World Tour (sponsored by the "King of Beers," BUDWEISER!).  Why stay so long in an old and crumbling town on the Spanish coast?   Hmmmmm, well how about the fact that the bars sell ice cold Budweiser (and not that cheap ass Czech Budweiser, but real honest to God American Budweiser), there’s a McDonald’s on every corner (and they don’t sell those B.S. French “pomme frites” – they sell real honest to God American french fries) and our new hotel lets us have overnight “guests” no questions asked (and not those overweight Hungarian whores like in Budapest, but real honest to God Spanish women that have at least showered in the last week).

Okay, so there’s also some pretty neato old historic stuff lying around the city too.  Like earlier today we walked down to the Port of Barcelona, looked at the water and imagined what it was like five hundred years ago when Christopher Columbus cruised away on his SeaRay (with twin 400hp Merc engines) to find the New World.  Okay, the Native Americans (Indians, but not from India!) had sorta already found the New World since they were already living there, but he did introduce them to some cool things, like rape, syphilis and robbery.  You just gotta love history like we do!

We also wandered around the REALLY old part of Barcelona (cleverly named “Old Barcelona”) where some king in the 1200’s (that’s like before Al Gore invented the internet and Kevin watched porn on it all day) built a bunch of castles and cathedrals with money he stole from the peasants.  It’s like we said earlier, you just gotta love history, and you know that history repeats itself, right?  Well, historically speaking, last night we drank ourselves blind on Budweiser in some pub and tonight is another night…

Stacy just missed Columbus - by 500 years!                                                The Spanish are masters of the obvious!

Kevin & Columbus - an eerie resemblance!                   Barcelona's port restored to look exactly as Columbus saw it!

VIDEO, BABY!  GET A LITTLE CULTURE - IT'S OLD BARCELONA!

We see that you are enjoying the fine Spanish culture - a dozen or so Budweisers, some spanish whores - what more could you ask for you silly bastards!  Have a great weekend, enjoy the sights and remember, we cannot help but love you two.
