BOUNCE ONE CHECK AND WHERE DOES ALL THE LOVE GO?

FRIDAY!  Oh yeah baby, IT'S HERE!  We're talkin' weekend and you all know what that means.  But before the Budweiser (proud sponsor of Riding4Beer) starts flowing and the lies start flying there were some details that need attending.  The official countdown has begun for the Riding4Beer Summer Magical Mystery Tour and there's so much B.S. involved in preparing that it literally takes months (primarily because we're slow and lazy).

Today was a “bike day.”  That means that in addition to all of hard work we put into maintaining the Harley, we also take it to the shop for final adjustments and to have all of our “maintenance” fixed.  So today was a quick ride (40 miles) from Palm Springs up to the High Desert and Hutchins Harley-Davidson in Yucca Valley.  We'd go to Palm Springs Harley-Davidson but they'd impound our bike with a mechanic's lien.  Something about bounced checks – damn paperwork.

The good news is that at Hutchins there's a restaurant attached to the dealership (the world famous Route 62 Diner!) so Kevin earned a little extra cash working the grill with Vern while the bike was in the shop.  Look, Budweiser sponsors us but they don't pay THAT well!  He also made a little extra beer money pushing a mop around the shop (staying out of the way of real mechanics like Jesse).  Folks, day by day the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour is getting closer (beginning the middle of May) but right now the weekend is even closer, and since we're sponsored by Budweiser – well, you get where we're going with this, right?....

Vern had Kevin cleaning the grill non-stop!                       Meanwhile Jesse fixed all of the maintenance we'd done!

Kevin had to mop the floor so he wouldn't "help" on the bike!          We told them the check would clear in a week or so!
