YOU NEVER GET WHAT YOU DESERVE - YOU GET WHAT YOU NEGOTIATE!

IT'S TUESDAY!  At best, Tuesdays are just a place holder while we all wait for Wednesday - Humpday!  We usually try to just skip Tuesdays by calling them Wednesday and then calling Wednesday Thursday, etc. until the following week.  The problem is that every seven weeks you end up with an entire week of Tuesdays!  It was a good idea until that seventh damn week showed up.  But this Tuesday was different!

Today we started finalizing our negotiations with Budweiser (sponsor of the upcoming Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour).  As most of you know we'll be leaving Palm Springs in May and riding our Harley for about three months around the United States looking for "magical" and "mysterious" places to drink beer.  We expect to pretty much circle the whole country, and although many REALLY nice people have offered their homes for us to stay in (you could be a REALLY nice person too - email us!), there's still plenty of expenses to cover.  That's where Budweiser comes in as our sponsor.   In return for us drinking and promoting their beer (not a difficult task at all!) they write us checks - BIG CHECKS, BABY!

Well, at least that's how it worked in the past.  This time however, since we're in a recession and Budweiser isn't an incompetent automaker, a stealing insurance company or a thieving bank, they didn't get any TARP money.  Have you ever heard of "trickle down" economics?  If Anheuser-Bush doesn't get any TARP money then our local Budweiser distributors get allot less advertising and promotion money.  And if they get less cash for promotions, guess who also gets less for their upcoming tour? (think - it's not that difficult!).   But there is good news in all of this Obama-Rama / Timo Geithner mess.  Kevin is a trained negotiator and when all the smoke cleared those corporate folks didn't stand a chance.   They promised us bagfuls of Budweiser keychains (which we can sell at the swap meet), some Bud T-shirts (which we can wear instead of those fake Coors ones we had printed at the Mall - clever negotiating tactic!) and, you guessed it - a check much bigger than we get from the county every month.  The Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour is coming to a town near you (or even your town if we can stay at your house!) and the King of Beers is onboard!...

Stacy went online & figured out how to get Bud some TARP money!           Kevin was off to negotiate and close the deal!

Here's Kevin in action making his presentation!                   Budweiser Corporate LOVED it!   See their excitement?

Silly,j ust plain silly!  That pretty much describes you two silly bastards.  We can see the both of you are getting into more trouble.  That will never change.  We also see the two of you have the Budweiser people convinced to give you a suitcase full of money again.  You are nothing but simple con artists ya.  But no matter what you do, we cannot help but love you both.  Looking forward to seeing you this summer way up here in Wisconsin.  You can't stay with us, but I'm sure my brother will let ya stay with him!
