TUESDAY!  Normally, this is a wasted day with nothing going on, but not today!  No, no, no - it's 100 degrees here in Palm Springs and with heat like that we need something to cool down the "hobby room" (wink, wink) in our trailer.  We used to have a water cooler in there, but the damn humidity made Kevin's hair so frizzy he looked like Art Garfunkel.   Nope, we're upgrading to real, honest-to-God air conditioning this time.   Well, at least that was the plan.

We set out for Home Depot to buy one of those wall mount A/C units they advertise in the paper.  Ok, so the wonderful folks in the orange aprons looked at us like we were nuts.  Even when we showed them the ad they just shook their heads and said, "huh" (actual quote!).  No problem - next stop, Lowe's.  Now here it got a bit dicey because we didn't have an ad from the newspaper to show them a picture, and of course nobody has EVER tried to buy an air conditioner at Lowe's. 

Folks, we just couldn't pull it off.  It was like psychic velcro - the stupidity just stuck to us!  We finally decided that with the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour (sponsored by Budweiser) just a few weeks away, we can live with the frizzy hair and get by without A/C in our "hobby room."  Besides, with the money we saved we can buy more hobby "supplies" (wink, wink).  Now let's see, where did we leave that 30 pak of Budweiser...

      
              Okay, how hard is it to sell one of these?            The orange aprons are nice - they match the color of their brains!
